The collections featured at the Eye Place have all been carefully handpicked from designers around the world. Only the best in technical excellence, quality and design make it to our shelves.
Based on the designs from the 1960s through 1980s, the H-fusion presents eye glasses created by blending two seemingly incompatible styles, “classic and yet very much fashionable”. Hand made by master craftsmen in the famed Fukui region of Japan, each pair of H-Fusion frame is carefully made put together with the precision and care expected of a product from Japan. Only the best and carfeully selected materials are used, creating a frame that's beautiful to behold yet fully functional.
Purveyor of the Californian state of mind. Garrett Leight's collection features timeless styles created in acetate and metal. It conjures up images of eyewear from yesteryears but with a modern and elegant twist.
Oliver Peoples has maintained a passion for superior eyewear crafted of the finest materials with careful attention to detail since the debut of the first collection. Each frame is inspired and created in the design studio in West Hollywood, California. Remaining true to the sophisticated, intellectual aesthetic made iconic by the brand, custom acetate in arrays of tortoise shell hues remain at the heart of the collections. Our favourite series in this collection is the Sir series, where the brand pays homage to the 3 most iconic models in their history. The fine, bespoke details on the temples elevate these styles to their proper status as nobility within the Oliver Peoples collection.
Mykita's frames are cut from high grade stainless sheet steel. The highly innovative and functional hinge design make the traditional solder and screw joints redundant. All frames are merticulously produced in Mykita's own production site in Berlin. Collaborations with designers such as Martin Margiela and Damir Doma have helped to increase the profile of Mykita.
Lindberg frames are produced from the 'perfect' material, titanium. This makes them light, flexible, strong and yet hypoallergenic. All unneccessary details on the frames have been removed, leaving them without logos, screws, rivets or welds. Lindberg frames are a beautiful example of minimalist Danish design.
It was the love they had for their clients that made Wim Somers and Patrick Hoet, Belgian opticians with their own stores, decide to design and present a new eyewear collection. Why? Well, because they wanted to offer their clients something other than the mainstream glasses that were selling at the time. So, in 1989, the first groundbreaking collection of Theo 'became a fact.' With every following collection, it became increasingly easier to reach the consumer. Today, more than 20 years later, theo is sold in 1,400 stores across 50 countries... and theo loves them all!
